Dr. Saleem Janjua, Policy Head COE-CPEC Participation in National Transportation Conference, Lahore

Dr. Saleeem Janjua, Policy Head Urban Development division was invited as conference moderator and subject specialist on the National Transport Conference organized by the Institute of Road Safety Traffic Environment.

The conference was held on 15th Nov 2017 at Lahore. The conference focus on digitalization, technological advancement in green energy, emergence of new players in the market, changes in urban mobility patterns because of CPEC projects, and proposing solutions to the current and future transport related challenges.

The conference was attended by relevant stakeholders,  dignitaries and line ministries .Dr. Saleem Janjua carried an informed discussion on the overarching themes of the conference. Further the prospects and opportunities for the transport sector under the CPEC portfolio were also highlighted. The audience expressed keen desire in CPEC transport related projects and it was hoped that the successful completion of transport projects under the CPEC portfolio will improve the urban mobility scenario in Pakistan.
