Field Visit to Maqpoondas Special Economic Zone, Gilgit Baltistan by CoE-CPEC Delegates

A CoE-CPEC delegation comprised, Dr. Shahid Rashid (Executive Director), Dr. Amir Khan (Policy Head, Socioeconomic Division), Mr. M. Muzammil Zia (Acting Policy Head, Job Growth & HRD Division), Mr. Yasir Arrfat (Acting Policy Head, Regional Connectivity), Ms. Saira Ali (Research Assistant, Trade & Industrial Cooperation) and Ms. Beenash Afzal Malik (Research Assistant, Job Growth & HRD Division) visited Maqpoondas Special Economic Zone. Among the 9 prioritized economic zones, Maqpoondas is an economic zone for Gilgit Baltistan which is to be constructed over 250 acres of land in the Maqpoondas area of Gilgit-Baltistan. It is an important area to be explored in terms of having a policy research.
