China and Pakistan have an exceptional relationship, as evidenced by their all-weather friendship. China is our iron brother, as we have seen through thick & thin.

On the economic front, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a strategic economic cooperation framework that includes projects and programs that, once implemented, will put Pakistan’s generation on a more prosperous and profitable path.

To that end, the Centre of Excellence for CPEC has been established to serve as a leading policy-based research think tank, providing input to federal and provincial governments as well as CPEC project implementers, and facilitating the broader objectives outlined in the cooperation framework.

The Centre brings together professional researchers and policymakers to contribute to policy-relevant knowledge and governance capacity development.

Our mandate is to conduct research on six CPEC thematic areas, promote a positive narrative about CPEC, advise CPEC implementers on policy issues, and inform the business community on CPEC-related business opportunities.

I pray that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor initiative is a huge success and a source of great prosperity for Pakistan, as well as a model for other countries along the Belt and Road Initiative to follow.
