 CPEC, Centre of Excellence, China Pakistan, Pak-china friendship, COE CPEC, China Pakistan Economic CorridorThe Centre of Excellence for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CoE-CPEC) successfully conducted its 4th Research Advisory Committee (RAC) meeting on 8th July 2019. The objective of meeting was to apprise the forum about the progress on research topics approved in 3rd RAC and to take expert opinion on the proposed research topics. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Fazal Hussain, Vice Chancellor PIDE, and was attended by renowned professionals from academia, think tanks, business community and representation from govt of Pakistan. Notables included: Dr. M. Azeem Khan, Member Food Security & Climate Change, M/o PDR, Dr. Shabnum Sarfraz, Member Social Sector & Devolution, M./o PDR, Vice Admiral (R) Syed Khawar Ali Shah HI (M) DG NIMA -Bahria University Islamabad, Mr. Hassan Daud Butt, PD CPEC SP, M/o PDR, Dr. Khalid Riaz, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, Comsats Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Dr. Moazzam from NUST, Mr. Saud Bangash from Pakistan Business Council, Dr. Ejaz Ghani, Professor PIDE, Prof. Dr. M. Amir, Dean Engineering, IIUI, Dr. Safdar Ali Shah, DG CPEC, HEC, Mr. Istaqbal Mehdi, CEO -Al- Aman Holdings Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Kanwar Javed from NIMA, Mr. M. Muddasir Iqbal from State Engineering Corporation, Haji Iftikhar Ahmed, Vice President, FPCCI Peshawar, were also part of esteem forum.

Heads of Policy Divisions of CoE CPEC presented their research work to the advisory committee and received a series of quality inputs and advises for improvement from the experts.

The Chair in his concluding remarks appreciated leadership of the Centre and directed to identify and conduct research in collaboration with policy makers, project implementers and business community regarding CPEC.
