COE CPEC Research Team Field Visit To Bostan Special Economic Zone, Balochistan

A field visit to Bostan Special Economic Zone was organized by Urban Development Division of COE-CPEC in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan for COE-CPEC officials on 16-04-2018. The purpose of the visit was to collect the first hand information and spot the progress of the site.

Bostan Industrial Zone is stretched over an area of 1,000 acres and will consist of industries like fruit processing, Agriculture machinery, Pharmaceutical, Motor Bikes Assembly, Chromites, Cooking Oil, Ceramic industries, Ice and Cold storage, Electric Appliances and Halal Food Industries. Currently 200 acres of the area has been developed and allied utilities i.e. road, street lights etc. are available. The feasibility study is being shared with the Chinese side. The local authorities and relevant departments expect that the completion of Bostan industrial zone under the CPEC portfolio will boast the industrial and economic development of the region.
