A delegation headed by Dr. Cui Yong, Deputy Secretary General, Belt and Road, University Enterprises Alliance, Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, China visited Centre of Excellence for CPEC (CoE CPEC) to collaborate research between two institutes on 2nd April 2018.
Dr. Shahid Rashid, Executive Director CoE CPEC highlighted the major research activities carried out by the centre and understanding on BRI with the delegation. He also discussed about learning opportunities for both countries on CPEC and role of Centre of Excellence in research in different themes.
Dr. Cui Yong appreciated the research work in different themes of CPEC. Both sides discussed opportunities CPEC is offering and to extend mutual collaboration in areas of research activities, exchange of researchers, trainings and workshops.
It was agreed to sign MOU regarding future joint ventures in research and research exchange programs. Following topics will be focused in MoU:-
- Collaborative research activities
- Long/short term researcher exchange program
- Short term training programs/projects/service-learning programs
- Exchange lectures, international conferences and seminars
