Innovative Financing: A Stepping Stone for CPEC, Society and Environment of Pakistan

The word revolution is entirely suitable for relating the changes in financial institutions and instruments that have occurred in the past twenty years. The key impulses to the successful financial innovations have come from taxes and regulations. Financial innovation remained a significant part of the financial landscape during the modern economic history. This study investigates the (a) existing modes of financial innovation in the world and the role of international financial institutions (b) financial innovation for development in Asia (c) potential projects for the financial innovation in Pakistan (d) financial innovation and social issues; (e) other possible target areas of innovative financing. Finally, some modest suggestions to the policy makers by mapping the existing modes of financial innovation with the potential projects of Pakistan are specified.
