MOU SIGNING CEREMONY BETWEEN COE-CPEC AND NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MARITIME AFFAIRS

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Centre of Excellence for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CoE-CPEC) Islamabad and National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) on 24^th June 2019. The MoU was signed by Dr. Liaqat Ali Shah, Executive Director, CoE-CPEC and Vice Admiral (Retd) Syed Khawar Ali Shah HI(M); the Director General of NIMA.

The motivation of MoU signing was to fulfill the prime goals of both the institutes with focus on research specially on Blue Economy. In the Blue Economy, focus will remain on coastal tourism, fisheries and maritime transport. The other activities which strongly bond up with a successful research, were also planned which include the joint researches for China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects. This MoU will also focus on conduction of Roundtables conferences, seminars, small scale workshops, exchange of data collection experts, and mutual exchange of publications and reports.
