MOU SIGNING CEREMONY BETWEEN COE-CPEC AND UNIVERSITY OF THE PUNJAB, Dept. OF ECONOMICS

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Centre of Excellence for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CoE-CPEC) Islamabad and University of The Punjab, Dept. of Economics on 28th of March 2019. The MoU was signed by Dr. Abdul Jalil, Executive Director, CoE-CPEC and Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar. Vice Chancellor of University of the Punjab, Dept. of Economics.

The core objective of MoU signing has always been the achievement of the predominant goals of the organization and this was the same for both institutes which solely base on research ventures. Since the field of Economics is highly important in terms of development, let it be in any branch, Economics is always there for the support as the back-bone. Other major activities which should be teamed-up with a successful research, were also discussed as in for the inclusion in the manifesto, it includes the joint researches for China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects, along with the assessment for the strengths in growth’s point of view, in monetary as well as other major fields such as Agro-economy and skill development. Also, the conduction of Roundtables conferences, inter-city seminars, skill development workshops, gaining expertise for data collection experts of both the institutions, and sharing of best practices were also discussed.
