Professional and Academic Projects

  1. Contributed as a reviewer on the papers regarding semantic web application in the 19th IFAC World Congress 2014 which took place in South Africa.
  2. Contributed as a reviewer on the papers regarding sustainable development, in the annual publication of sustainable development Policy institute ISBN-10:969-35-2897-2
  3. Master Research (MPhil) work encompasses areas of Supplier Selection, Coordination in Supply Chain Management, Information Sharing in Supply Chain Management, Multi Criteria Decision Making, Contracting Practices in Supply Chain Management and Quantitative Supply Chain Modeling and Simulation Techniques, AHP (Analytical Hierarchical Process).
  4. Headed the committee of industrial liaison of COMSATS institute.
  5. ANSYS, design of different hydrofoils and their analysis of interaction with fluids, using FSI solver of ANSYS. This work identified the design procedure for selecting the hydro foils and airfoils for further utility in water based or wind based energy generation.
  6. Professional project involves work, as lead design advisor for my company AES, on improving the cooling tower efficiency. Working with Italian company SPIG (http://www.spig-int.com/), which is leader in Cooling tower Technology. The design work involved the understanding and review of the industrial piping standard and cooling tower design standard and validating the finding presented by SPIG. This project helped my company AES in improving plant efficiency and consequently reducing the operations cost. The operations were further analyzed and the quality maintained using statistical quality management tools.
  7. Power plant maintenance, during my stint in the AES, I was also involved in the maintenance outage activities of the AES PakGen and LalPir generators. This has provided me with in depth knowledge of the workings and systems of a 700 Mega Watts Thermal Power Plants.
