Dr. Noureen Adnan

Head of Policy Division -Finance and Financial Sector Integration under CPEC

Dr. Noureen Adnan is the Head of Policy Division – Financing and Financial Sector Integration under CPEC (BS-20) of Centre of Excellence for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CoE-CPEC), Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, Islamabad.

Dr. Noureen Adnan completed her PhD in Financial Economics from University of Surrey, UK in 2012. She received masters degree in Financial Economics from Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University, UK. She also holds a degree in MBA (Finance) with distinction. She has won the Charles Wallace (UK) fellowship for her outstanding performance during her PhD and taught at the University of Surrey, UK as part of her doctorate.

She is a member of Royal Economic Society, UK and has presented her work in international conferences. It is her point of interest to explore the relationship between the role of monetary and fiscal policy over the probability of financial crises. She envisions her future research to investigate the role of these policies to stabilise the economy and to examine the association between Financial Development, Financial Integration and the possibility of Financial Crises.

She has been associated with Comsats University for sixteen years and rendered valuable services to ensure the quality of education as the Lead Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2008 and Associate Head of the department. She has been actively involved in teaching and research supervisions at the graduate level.

Dr. Noreen was nominated by The News for “Women Power 50” in recognition for her services towards the higher Education of Pakistan and was included in the most successful women and honourable mentions of 2017 in the Academia.
