Mr. Younas Kakar is serving as Senior Research Fellow (BPS-19) in Financing and Financial Sector Integration division of Centre of Excellence for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CoE-CPEC), Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Islamabad. . During his tenure here, he has been consistent in achieving policy research targets that included publications in the Research Quarterly Journals, Policy Briefs Series and identifying the potential areas of bilateral investment and financing. He has also demonstrated his ability as a team leader and organized & participated in various international conferences, seminars and workshops.

He is Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant-FCCA (UK), Public Finance Accountant (PIPFA), has done Certificates in Accounting and Finance (CAF) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) & in Public Financial Management from International Monetary Fund(IMF) and also holds MS/M.Phil. degree in Finance.

He has more than 11 years of Industry and Professional experience at various international and national level organizations. He headed the internal audit department of a large public sector company Baluchistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) and also led the finance section of global funded project TB control program Baluchistan chapter. While serving in Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu (Big 4), he was involved in the statuary audits and specialized compliance assignments of various prestigious organization including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC), Bank of Khyber, Proctor & Gamble (pvt) Limited, Telenor Pakistan and many more.

His professional background includes variety of roles, all related to Finance, Public Financial Management, Financial Management, Accounting, Audit & Assurance, Corporate Compliance, Taxation & Procurement. He has acquired his previous professional experience serving as Chief Internal Auditor (Head of Internal Audit Department), Finance Manager, Senior Consultant and Finance Officer at various multinational and public sector organizations.

Mr. Younas also have multiple years of teaching and research experience at university and professional level. He specializes in International Financial Management, Financial Management, Financial Modeling, Investment Analysis, Working Capital Management, Financial Statement Analysis, Taxation, Corporate Reporting, Financial Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting and Auditing.
