CoE-CPEC Participation in 3rd – National Automotive Summit-2018, Lahore

Dr. Saleem Janjua, Head of Policy Division Urban Development under CPEC, COE-CPEC participated as guest speaker on the 3^rd National Automotive Summit, 2018 “Pakistan Automotive Future Trends – Challenges and Opportunities” organized by the Institute of Road Safety Traffic Environment on 21^st February 2018 at Lahore. The summit focused on digitalization, technological advancement in green energy, emergence of new players in the market, changes in urban mobility patterns because of CPEC projects, and proposing solutions to the current and future transport related challenges. The summit was attended by stakeholders, dignitaries and line ministries/ provincial departments.

Dr. Saleem Janjua gave a detailed talk on the overarching themes of the summit. Further, he highlighted the prospects and opportunities for the transport sector under the CPEC portfolio. The audience expressed keen interest in CPEC transport related projects and it was hoped that the successful completion of transport projects under the CPEC portfolio will improve the mobility scenarios in Pakistan.
