The Urban Development Division of COE-CPEC collaborated with Institute of Road Safety Traffic Environment (IRSTE) as knowledge partner and arranged a conference titled as “CPEC Conference: Pakistan Road Transport-Logistics” on May 9th, 2018 at NUST University, Islamabad.
Dr. Shahid Rashid, Executive Director, Dr. Saleem Janjua, Policy Head, Mr. Adnan Khan, & Ms. Numra Asif participated from CoE CPEC. Dr. Shahid Rashid discussed CPEC portfolio, FDI & SMEs in detail. The conference was attended by relevant stakeholders, dignitaries and line ministries/ provincial departments. The experts at the conference agreed that successful actualization of CPEC requires robust Pak-China logistics mechanism. Modernization of the transport and logistics under CPEC portfolio are the requirements of time.
