Round-Table Conference on Prioritized SEZs under CPEC in Pakistan

A Round Table Conference (RTC) organized by the Centre of Excellence in collaboration with Ministry of Planning Development and Reform, Board of Investment and Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) held on May 17, 2018 at LCCI office, Lahore.

Main focus of RTC was to discuss and explore Prioritized Special Economic Zones (pSEZs) under CPEC. People from business community, Ministry of Industries and Production, Educational Institutions participated in RTC. Guest speakers from LCCI, Board of Investment, and Centre of Excellence presented on various aspects regarding pSEZs and made the audience aware of the benefits, incentives and economic significance of pSEZs.

Mr. Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Secretary Planning, Development and Reform addressed the concerns of business community and local industrialist regarding relocation of Industry by China. He also shared progress of CPEC projects and future goals of innovation, infrastructure development and trade for economic prosperity.

Dr. Shahid Rashid Executive Director CoE CPEC highlighted the opportunities for Entrepreneurs and their role for increasing competitiveness of SME’s through pSEZs.
